British authorities are charging Gary Glitter with eight sex offenses involving teenage girls.
These new charges against Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, involve two women who were aged 12 and 14 at the time of the alleged offenses, which took place between 1977 and 1980.
Glitter, 70, is best known for his hit "Rock & Roll (Part 2)." He was previously convicted on child abuse charges in Vietnam.
He is due to appear in court June 19 in London.
