Details Emerge About Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival Plans

With the latest edition of Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival taking place next Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, at New York City's Madison Square Garden, some details about the star-studded event have begun to trickle out.  According to the official Clapton fan club website, WheresEric.com, the legendary guitarist will kick off the first evening with an acoustic set that will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.

In addition to Eric and his backing group headlining the fest's second night, Clapton also is expected to play alongside many of the artists on the lineup throughout the show, including opening night headliners The Allman Brothers Band.  What's more, former Band guitarist/songwriter Robbie Robertson revealed in a Facebook post that he'll be playing a three-song set during the Saturday concert.

Also on the Crossroads Guitar Festival bill are B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Los Lobos, Booker T. Jones, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughan, John Mayer, Taj Mahal and country stars Keith Urban and Vince Gill, among many others.
