Farmingdale (LINews) – The latest reports from Belgium say at least 31 people are dead after this morning’s terror attacks in Brussels.
Several explosions thundered through Brussels’ international airport and a subway station located near the European Union headquarters. Two blasts were at the airport and one in the Metro station. Close to 200 people were hurt in the three explosions, which may have been suicide attacks.
The city has been in lockdown since the attacks. The airport and subway system are shut down and people are being told to shelter in place.
Security is being tightened around the world as a result of today’s Brussels attacks, including here on Long Island. Nassau police say they’re intensifying patrols around mass transit and other important locations, as well as at significant public events.
