A pair of thieves stole a 16-foot-long spool of turf from in front of a California woman’s home! Madonna Hanes said the 650-pound spool of turf was dropped off at her home in San Diego by a contractor who intended to return and use it to landscape her yard. Instead, a neighbor’s surveillance camera recorded footage of two men trying to shove 16 feet of turf into the trunk of a car that was only two feet deep. The video shows the men drive off with most of the turf dragging behind their car.
An employee of a Giant Eagle store allegedly ate three to five slices of ham every day on the job for eight years. She’s under investigation for theft totaling $9200. Authorities say she would occasionally gulp down a slice or two of salami as well. No arrest has been made while prosecutors review the evidence. (Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office)
A Finnish study found that regular sauna bathing, imparts physical perks similar to those associated with moderate exercise, including lower blood pressure, better joint health, a decreased likelihood of developing heart diseases and greater longevity. The lead researcher, Dr. Jari Laukkanen also said that saunas are NOT a direct replacement for workouts. But, the heat will keep your pizza warm!
