Move over Christmas trees…for my Halloween tree?

There’s a new trend on social media– Halloween trees. Basically, they’re Christmas that instead have been decorated for Halloween. The trees often feature orange and black lights, and ornaments that look like pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, and more. Also, where a Christmas tree might have an angel or star on top of it Halloween trees often have a black cat, skull, or other Halloween symbol.

Some New York Halloween costume consultants are making $325 an hour. Carmela Lane tells the NY Post that she helps people pick out costumes. “The phone starts ringing after Labor Day — and it doesn’t stop until November 1st.”

And finally,

Romania’s National Institute for Blood Transfusion has hired a vampire to front their new blood drive. They are offering concert tickets in exchange for donations. The vampire is featured in ads that say: “We have a bloody problem”, “Don’t suck, donate” and “Not only vampires need blood”. The concert is taking place in Transylvania.  500 people have donated!
