The BBC claims Steve Dockerty, of Northamptonshire, England, recently called firefighters after he heard what he thought was his smoke alarm going off. First Responders quickly arrived, but didn’t find any blaze. They cleaned Steve’s smoke detectors and checked the rest of his apartment, but kept hearing a smoke alarm. The firefighters discovered that Steve’s parrots were imitating his smoke detector alarm.
Fansided says some people are having Mountain Dew turkeys for Thanksgiving. The recipe calls for Mountain Dew to replace half of the water in a brine. Using Mountain Dew will cause the turkey’s skin to carmelize. The turkey will then have a sweet taste to its outer layer. (I was hoping for the Fresca Turkey.)
Uproxx claims General Mills wants to create superhero movies starring Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Boo Berry. They are asking filmmakers to help create a Marvel-like cinematic universe. They’ve pitched the idea to Hollywood. (Maybe they could battle the evil forces of Kellogg’s, like Tony the Tiger, the Tricks rabbit and the Lucky Charms guy!)
