An ATM at a Bank of America branch in Houston had to be taken out of service when it started dispensing $100 bills instead of $20 bills. Police say as they pulled up to the bank, people were fighting over the ATM. Cops eventually broke up the crowd and restored calm, and the ATM was taken out of service for repairs. It’s unknown how much money was lost, but Bank of America said customers will be allowed to keep the money that was dispensed. (KHOU-TV)
Pillows and pooches … According to a new study, having your dog in your bed with you at night can improve the quality of your sleep. Researchers found that women who sleep with their dogs wake up less often in the middle of the night and have stronger feelings of comfort and security, especially when compared with human bed partners or cats. Time Magazine says Jason Stiber, of Connecticut, was given a $300 ticket for distracted driving. An officer claimed he was using his phone while behind the wheel. Jason said he was eating a McDonald’s hash brown. He fought his ticket and lost even though he presented his Bluetooth and phone records that show he was not making a call at the time he was stopped. A retrial has been set for December 7th.
