An Oregon man won $1,750 in a lottery game and was so excited to drive to the lottery office to claim his prize that he got there before they opened. Sam Hawley showed up an hour before the office opened, so to kill some time, he went over to a nearby convenience store and purchased another lottery ticket. He picked the same eight numbers and ended up winning again. Only this time, he matched all eight and won the grand prize worth $118,000.
ABC claims Andrew Nolan, of Lakewood, Ohio, recently used a long CVS receipt to replace a broken venetian blind in his living room. He received the long receipt after purchasing less than 10 items from his local CVS. Andrew tells WEWS, “I thought it would be funny to see if it fit in the window, and it happened to fit perfectly.”
Spectrum News claims Dominick Breedlove recently stole from a Spring Hill, Florida Kohl’s department store…after interviewing for a job there. Dominick interviewed with a manager before going to the shoe department and stealing a pair of Nikes. Managers called the police as he was walking to his car. Dominick tried to disguise the theft by placing the Nikes in a Kohl’s bag he had from a previous shopping trip. Even worse, I don’t think he got any Kohl’s cash for the theft.
