The Daily Mail claims a Kroger grocery store in Scottsdale, Arizona began making food deliveries yesterday with no one behind the wheel! The driverless cars were tested nearly 1,000 times with humans on board before the decision was made to deploy them without people. The modified Prius vehicles contain no steering wheel and no seats. Customers were notified when their delivery arrived through an app that contained a punch code to open the car door. And….that means no tipping!
The Green Bay Gazette claims a cardboard cut-out of the local police chief, Andrew Smith, was standing in a convenience store, warning people not to shop lift. However, what seemed like a good idea, didn’t last long, someone stole it. No suspects, so far.
People magazine claims Popeyes is selling “Emotional Support Chickens” for the holidays at the Airport in Philly. It contains three chicken tenders, and the box reads, “This chicken provides comfort and nourishment during stressful air travel. It also says Popeye’s is not responsible for lost or stolen chicken.”
