The NY Post claims Walmart and Target have stopped selling a kids game called, “Cut The Wire.” Kids are asked to defuse a fake plastic bomb before a timer runs out. If a player fails, or cuts a wrong wire, a bomb sound effect goes off and the toy lights up and vibrates. The game is no longer being sold in North America.

A South Euclid, Ohio 16 year-old recently called the police on her father because he took her smart phone away. When officers arrived, the teen told them that her father had stolen her phone. The father said he took the phone as punishment for something his daughter had done. Officers told the girl that having a phone under the age of 18 is a privilege, not a right. They told her to follow her father’s rules. No charges were filed.

And finally,

A California dad who took possession of his daughter’s cats when she left for college ran into a little problem when he was told he couldn’t keep pets in his apartment. So┬áhe got them their very own apartment in a pet-friendly building. Troy Good recently moved into a new apartment and agreed to look after his 18-year-old daughter’s cats while she’s away at school. But he didn’t realize it wasn’t a pet-friendly building. So he ended up renting another┬ástudio apartment nearby for $1500 a month, just for the cats. He says, “They definitely have the nicest cat apartment in Silicon Valley.”The landlord says, other than stinking up the place, the cats are great tenants. (Mercury News)
