Calling the police…from the back seat of a cop car!

Over the weekend, racing fans got together to watch a Formula E electric car race in Red Hook, New York, featuring vehicles from such companies as Audi, BMW, Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz. The cars run on batteries and can reach a top speed of about 140 miles per hour. But the strange part is, there is no roar from the engines…the cars zip around the track so quietly that it’s easy to have conversations with those around you until the checkered flag comes down. A Perkins Township, Ohio man, named Keith Oshoski, recently called 911…from the back of a police car! Cops placed Keith in the police car while investigating a domestic case. He called 911 because he was hot and wanted the air conditioning turned up. Keith told the 911 operator; “Yeah, hi, I’m in the back of the patrol car, there is no air on. It’s shut off and the windows are up and I cannot breath. It’s very, very hot in here. I’m sorry to call you.” The cops lowered the temperature before releasing Keith without charging him.

And finally,

A Texas woman got “swiped left” by a convenience store manager after she tried to buy something by swiping a phony credit card — which actually came from a toy set for kids. The woman, whose identity is unknown, approached the counter at the San Antonio 7-Eleven holding the card, which simply said “credit card,” and seemed baffled when it didn’t work. She then pulled out a cell phone and couldn’t figure out why IT didn’t work…it was also a toy. The store manager thinks alcohol may have been invoked. You think?
