The guy was standing on his head while he more-than-doubled the old world record of 30 miles an hour. Marco said he felt “amazing and relieved” — but now has to deal with his mom and his promise to her, that he’d quit, if he ever got going that fast. (ITV)
The Daily Mail says the world’s oldest turtle, Tommy, recently celebrated her 121st birthday. She was purchased by Sheila Flores’ grandmother in 1909. She recently held a birthday party for her where she placed a gold birthday hat on her shell and allowed her to crawl around on a table between several birthday cupcakes. NBC says a Sonoma County, California pitbull is being hailed as a hero for rescuing his owner from a shark. James White was fishing when he reeled in a seven gill shark. The shark broke free and latched onto James’ leg! Darby, James’s pet pit bull saw what was happening, jumped out of a car window and ran to his side. Darby grabbed the shark by his tail and pulled it off of James’ leg. He then ran up a hill with it. (We should make Darby the next star of Shark Week.)
