BuzzFeed News says Savannah Koop, of British Columbia, and her fiance, Ryan Hamilton, of Bellingham, Washington, have been having dates six feet apart at the U.S.-Canadian border. The two are postponing their wedding because the border is shut down due to the coronavirus. Savannah and Ryan have dates with lawn chairs and blankets. They always stay on opposite sides of the border so they won’t get in trouble.
Another lesson about buying things on-line…WCPO says Ben Hart, of Cincinnati, Ohio, recently bought counterfeit toilet paper online. He clicked on a Facebook ad that showed 30 rolls of Charmin on sale for $40. The toilet paper arrived at Ben’s home a month later. Each roll looked used and only held 25 squares of TP. The toilet rolls looked like they were stolen from a hotel.
A man named Speedy Gonzalez has been arrested for stealing mail. Authorities say Gonzalez allegedly stole some checks from a mailbox in Suwanee, Georgia, was able to cash them, then visited a store, bought some things and then returned them for cash. During a traffic stop on Saturday, he was stopped by police and arrested. And yes, Speedy Gonzalez is his real name. But really, I think the real crime here was committed by his parents for naming him speedy. Although, people are calling him SEEDY SPEEDY, so things are not getting better for him.
