A Garner, North Carolina man is facing federal charges for using companies named after Game of Thrones characters to obtain $6 million in coronavirus relief. Tristan Pan applied for loans through the Paycheck Protection Program under companies named White Walker, Khaleesi, and The Night’s Watch. Two of the loans were approved! (CBS)
The NY Post says a parrot was recently booted from the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park in the UK because it has a potty mouth. Park Director Steve Nichols says the bird and others have foul mouths. ”They were all quarantined together, it meant that one room was just full of swearing birds. The more they swear, the more you usually laugh, which then triggers them to swear again.” (It’s like when your child says their first bad word…they see you laugh, and then they just keep saying it to make you laugh…well, at least in my house.)
A California restaurant is using the Godfather movie to send an anti-mask message! WAVY says this Orange County Italian restaurant is encouraging diners NOT to wear virus masks when they come in. Basilico’s Pasta e Vino rented a local billboard before putting up a Godfather movie-themed message that reads, “Leave The Mask Take The Cannoli.” More importantly, sonny..don;t take the toll road..
