Haagen-Dazs has created a bag to help parents hide ice cream from their children. The outside of the green bag says “Peas” and features a picture a fresh green peas on it. Parents can place their pints of Haagen-Dazs inside the bag before zipping it up. Haagen Dazs says, “Now our fans can be confident that when that moment strikes, their ice cream is exactly where they left it – ready and waiting for them.”
A Florida woman recently walked into a jewelry shop to return a ring…that she’d stolen from the same place a few days earlier! Alice Lavern Henry walked into Griner’s Jewelry in Winter Haven and asked if they’d be interested in buying a ring that she’d found while using a metal detector on a nearby beach. The clerk became suspicious because the ring showed none of the damage you’d expect to see in a buried ring — not so much as a single speck of sand — so she had another employee call 911 to summon cops to have a chat with her. She did walk out wearing bracelets that need a matching key!
On the subject of perfect gifts for 2020, consider a box of macaroni-and-cheese. In the spirit of spreading good cheer and comfort food, Kraft will send a free box of its famous mac-and-cheese to anyone you choose, or will send you a coupon to score a free box for yourself. The offer is good only until October 11th at www.enjoyfoods.com. The company said, “”We’re all seeking the comforts of home and traditions that bring us together, like sharing a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese.” (I’m hoping Ferrari does the same thing…or Lamborghini, I’m not picky.)
