A new “social robot dog” uses artificial intelligence to sense human emotions. The robot — developed by the company Koda — starts out as a puppy, but then learns to interact socially with human owners as time goes on. The good news? The robot doesn’t shed or do nasty things on your carpet. Just hide your iphone when it’s in heat. (CNET)
A chimpanzee at an Australian zoo escaped from its enclosure early Thursday morning, but it returned to the exhibit without any intervention. The Taronga Zoo in Sydney said a contractor doing work at the zoo spotted the male chimpanzee sitting calmly outside of its enclosure at 5:47 a.m. The chimp is safe and well and is being monitored by their vets. My guess is, it took one look at what’s going on in our world and decided, you know what? I’m going back to the zoo.
