New Zealand has passed a law that will ban people of a certain age from purchasing cigarettes — for the rest of their life. Anyone born after the year 2008 will not be allowed to buy cigarettes. Ever. No matter how old they may be. But here’s the thing about new Zealand…you have to be 18 to BUY liquor, but they have no minimum legal drinking age. In other words, although those under 18 are unable to legally buy alcohol themselves, they are legally permitted to consume alcohol. (NBC News)
